Ken started his career in the care profession in 1987 when he established his first Residential Care Home for older people. During his career, he has operated award winning care organisations, always providing the highest standard of service.
Recruiting people that share his passion for the sector, and building strong and motivated teams has resulted in the delivery of first-rate care.
Along with his colleagues Ken is passionate about developing HCP Social Enterprise into a successful division of Home Care Preferred bringing tangible benefits to society.
Ken lives in London and outside of his professional life enjoys time with his family and friends, loves music, film, food and wine, an occasional cycle ride and game of squash.
After successful studies at the University of Exeter, Laura gained valuable experience working for several high-profile companies in London. She then spent nearly a year travelling before joining Home Care Preferred’s executive team in 2015 as Community Relations Manager. In 2017 Laura was key in the development of HCP Social Enterprise.
Laura enjoys being part of a company that makes a real difference in people’s lives and aims to drive the growth of HCP Social Enterprise.
She loves reading, meeting up with friends and spending time with her family. She enjoys travel and visits new places whenever there is the opportunity.
Navaniita started her career in the healthcare sector on a part-time basis as a care support worker whilst studying at University in Dorset. Soon after working in a residential care setting she knew that she wanted to remain in the care profession and commenced with professional qualifications.
Her career progressed rapidly and she was soon in senior roles and subsequently offered a position managing a residential care home.
Navanitta joined Home Care Preferred in 2012 as a care manager and in 2016 became the companies first Franchise Manager. In this key role Navaniita is responsible for awarding franchises to suitable people in key locations and developing this part of the company.
Within HCP Social Enterprise Navaniita assists with various projects and is keen to involve her franchise owners on a local and national level.
In her personal life Nav has worked as a relief worker and a news reporter during the Tsunami crisis and helped with relief work. She enjoys reading, film, Latino & Indian classical dance, politics and current affairs, languages, socialising with friends and family and visits to a wide variety of restaurants.
Following a long and successful career in fashion Sonia decided on a career change.
Pursuing a long standing interest in dance and exercise she became a Personal Trainer, Zumba instructor and Fitness Coach. Sonia has worked on several projects with Home Care Preferred including music, charity and social events. Along with Laura from HCP Social Enterprise she set up a local social group for older people which has developed successfully.
Sonia particularly enjoys working with older people and operates several exercise classes where she supports people in keeping as fit as their individual situation allows. In addition to working with Home Care Preferred Sonia has also worked with Age UK, The Ruth Winston Centre, younger adults with physical and mental health disabilities and various Community Groups.
She is working on specific HCP Social Enterprise projects and was the person within the organisation who thought of the Care To Limbo challenge.
When not working Sonia enjoys, food & wine, travel, listening to live music, learning to play drums, dance, comedy, travel and spending time with family & friends.
Stephanie has over 10 years’ experience in corporate marketing and event planning, having previously worked for global law firms and management consultancies where she planned and executed large scale conferences, bespoke client events, through to internal team building activities and social gatherings.
She started her own events business in late 2016 and is delighted to be adding value to local businesses and charities through strategic event marketing. She is excited to be working with HCP Social Enterprise and looks forward to helping the organisation prosper through its many great initiatives.
Stephanie lives in London and enjoys spending time exploring the UK visiting friends and family. She enjoys reading, music and dancing, learning about different cultures and particularly experiencing new cuisines.
